Welcome to Events in Bloom, Williamsburg’s Premier Wedding & Event Florist

First of all, CONGRATULATIONS on your engagement!! What an exciting time! Planning a wedding can also be a bit overwhelming. Let our time-tested experience and know how help ease your concerns. The first step is to secure a team of event professionals to ensure a flawless event.

When should we meet?
The best time to meet with the florist is after you have chosen your wedding and reception venues and have purchased your bridesmaids dresses. It is very hard to narrow the field of flowers if a color scheme is not in place. The months of May, June and October book very quickly. It is not unusual to book your vendors a year in advance. While most of our consultations take place in our office, we will gladly meet you on site.

How do we book your services?
Events In Bloom requires a retainer of $200.00 to secure a wedding date. In fairness to all of our clients, we cannot “pencil

in” anyone. The retainer is not refundable, but is applied towards your final balance. This can be paid at the consultation or upon approval of the flower proposal.

How much do the flowers cost?
The cost of arrangements varies greatly depending on size, season, and types of flowers used. Floral Industry standards say about 10% of the total wedding budget should be allotted for flowers. Most of our clients spend an average between $1800 and $3400 on their wedding flowers. A breakdown of costs will be included in the proposal and mailed to you after the consultation. The prices on the proposal are guaranteed market prices and will not increase unless more items are added by the client.

Do you deliver?
Events In Bloom staff will deliver, set up and retrieve wedding and ceremony décor. We will also gladly set up items that the bride provides, such as favors, place cards, photo

graphs, candy buffets and transport the flowers from the ceremony to the reception for a separate fee.

Can changes be made to the proposal?
Changes to flower proposals are very common. Always feel free to contact Events In Bloom to discuss ideas and changes during the planning process. Approximately, four weeks prior to the wedding date we will contact the client to see if a follow up appointment is desired and if there are any changes. A final proposal will be sent and the balance will be due fifteen days prior to the wedding. Flowers will be ordered once the balance has been paid in full.Events In Bloom accepts all major credit cards, cash and checks.

How can I get hold of you the day of?
Clients and venue contact personnel will be supplied contact information in the case of emergency on the wedding day.
